The Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX) has launched the Zayed centre of Excellence for Financial Research at the Higher Colleges of Technology (HCT)-Abu Dhabi Women’s campus.
In a statement, the ADX stated that in addition to introducing students to research in finance, HCT also prepares them for employment in the financial sector in the UAE.
HE Dr Abdullatif Al Shamsi, the President and CEO of HCT, said that the HCT is the first higher education institution in the UAE to launch the first economic free zone in its Dubai colleges.
The HCT 4.0 strategy is in compliance with the Fifty-Year Charter launched by HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the UAE Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, where article six stipulates that the UAE public and private universities will be referred to as free zones that allow students to carry out business and creative activities.
