Al Hilal Bank inaugurates paperless account opening app

The launch of Ahlan follows the bank’s acquisition by Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank Group (ADCB) and it is aimed at creating innovative products as well as unrivalled customer experience for current and future account holders.


Al Hilal Bank (AHB) has launched its paperless account opening app called Ahlan, enabling new customers to open an account without having to visit a branch or complete any paperwork.

The lender stated that the introduction of Ahlan is part of the Al Hilal Bank’s strategy to transform into a digital-focused retail bank, investing in innovative technology to enhance customer experience.

Amr Al Menhali, the CEO of Al Hilal Bank, said, “The launch of the innovative Ahlan mobile app marks another milestone in our transformative journey to become a digital-focused retail bank, providing our customers with outstanding Shari’ah compliant services.”

The relaunch of the bank’s core application prior to the inauguration of Ahlan has enhanced customer experience by providing easy to use biometric features, a bilingual interface and simplified financial solutions to customers, who can now make transactions more efficiently.
